The main advantage of such an arrangement is that the lessee has the right not only to use the aircraft, but also to derive a benefit from it. In addition, in the case of a long-term lease, the lessee has the right of first refusal to purchase the aircraft at the end of the term. This works well for flight training centers that, for various reasons, prefer this solution to the usual operating or finance lease.
AIRCRAFT INSURANCE
Unforeseen situations can occur during flight operations, so it is important to cover not only the aircraft, but also its crew, passengers or baggage, as well as the liability of its users. Damage can occur during flight operations, as well as during takeoff, landing, taxiing, parking, maintenance and repair. The concluded insurance policy should be fully related to the specifics of the operator, the qualifications and experience of the crew and the profile of the planned flight operations. Special attention should also be paid to the limitations or exclusions of insurance coverage.
The key elements of an insurance policy are:
- User’s liability to third parties;
- Aerocasco;
- Personal accident insurance (NNW) for crew members;
- Carrier’s liability to persons involved in the flight;
- Insurance of personal belongings of crew members.
