New aerial observation system in the Border Guard’s PZL W-3 AM Anaconda helicopter (April 2020)

The consortium of companies GB Aircraft Sp. z o.o. and Ceska Letecka Servisni a.s. handed over to the Border Guard a new aerial surveillance system mounted on a PZL W-3 AM Anakonda helicopter. The helicopter is used by the 1st Aviation Division of the Border Guard Board of the Border Guard Headquarters, based in Gdansk. The project included the purchase with installation and training in operation for operators and mechanics of a brand new aerial observation set, as well as approval of the modification carried out at the Civil Aviation Authority. The system includes. L3Harris Wescam’s Mx-10 integrated optoelectronic platform and Euroavionics RN7 mission management system with digital video recorder. The project was implemented as part of the consortium’s winning public tender announced by the Border Guard in 2018.
